To help us provide this high level of service, we take the time to get to know our clients.

Whether it’s for yourself or for your business, there may come a time when you need to plan for a future change or to tackle an unexpected ‘one-off’ event. Our experienced team can provide specialist help with:

Q: Do you need financial advice?

A: Do you need help developing and implementing your financial goals? Generational Wealth Partners will provide you with advice on how you can identify realistic goals and help you put strategies in place to achieve them.

Q: How much does financial planning cost?

A: Please refer to our Financial Services Guide (FSG) for a full break down of any fees and costs.

Q: What qualifications should a financial planner have?

A: From the 1st of January 2019, new advisers must have a relevant bachelor’s degree or higher, pass an exam, have completed a professional year and meet ongoing continued professional development (CPD) requirements. Our (FSG) will inform you of what services our advisers offer, what their qualifications are, their Australian Financial Services (AFS) licence number and how we charge for our services, including any additional payments or benefits we receive.

Q: How can I prepare for my initial meeting?

A: So that we can get a clear picture of your financial situation, we will want to know your:

  • financial goals – what you want to achieve (e.g. pay off your mortgage or save for retirement).
  • assets – what you own, including your home, savings, super, car, shares and other investments.
  • liabilities – what you owe, including mortgages, loans and outstanding credit card balances.
  • income – from all sources.
  • regular expenses – the budget planner can help summarise these.
  • insurances – what assets you currently have insured and for how much.
  • estate plan – whether you have an up-to-date will and/or power of attorney.

Q: What do you need to ask at an initial meeting?

A: Meeting with Generational Wealth Partners might be a one-off encounter, or it might be ongoing. We will work with you to determine and implement your financial plan. It is important in your first appointment that you provide us with accurate information. If you are not honest with us, or if you leave things out, the advice could end up being wrong for your situation. You should be clear about the scope of the advice, let our advisers know whether you are intending on receiving a broad financial plan, or if you want advice on a particular area of your finances.

A: Generational Wealth Partners is able to provide professional advice if you are planning for a big life event; like starting a family, being retrenched, planning for retirement or managing an inheritance.
